So I was hanging out in IRC this evening, conversing with my good friend Mr. Clinton Ecker of Cincinnati, and after sharing my writeup of the Tribune headline incident with him we had the following exchange:
<Clintology> hey this says erik
<Clintology> and it has a macnerd domain name
* Clintology 's gears begin cranking in his head
<Clintology> how is this not a copy of nslog.com ![]()
<Clintology> run by Erik J. Barzeski?
<Clintology> cpyright infringment and identity theft ![]()
<Clintology> do you post about how cool Bush is and golfing??
.
.
.
<iKennedye> anyway, according to Erik’s “about me” post, I’m taller, lighter, and older than he is. Also, I don’t know how to play golf.
So there. In all honesty, I had no idea there was already a weblog out there with a NextStep-derived name featuring Mac content run by a guy who spells his name correctly (what’s with all this “Eric” jazz I keep seeing?). I know how that sounds, but I swear it’s true. It seems, though, that we have enough of a different focus that we won’t be confused with each other. It is pretty funny, though. (Hopefully ol’ doppelganger there sees it that way too and doesn’t sue.)
