Apple has quietly (and finally!) rolled out RSS support for its various mailing lists, available at http://rss.lists.apple.com/. Some feeds are updated hourly, like the macos-x-server list, while others are updated daily, like the fortran-dev list. Apple even suggests Clint’s favorite newsreader application, NetNewsWire, although I’m fairly certain that recommendation will change when Safari RSS ships.

They’ve been recommending it since it came out, despite the other news readers out there. Lots of them. PulpFiction (the one I use) even won an Apple Design Award – something NNW never did – but hasn’t been listed.

Oh, and the feeds are pretty bad actually. The creator is wrong (should be the person sending the email) and you only get the first two lines of the thing, not the full content.
