fishbowlDC seems positively horrified at a rumor reported in the New York Daily News that no less an Internet phenomenon than Ana Marie Cox, better known as Wonkette, could be taking columnist Richard Leiby’s place at the Washington Post.
Leiby has previously expressed a desire to stop writing his “Reliable Source” column for the paper and return to more regular news reporting. (Amusingly enough, Leiby is among those quoted on Wonkette’s front page, referring to her as “A foulmouthed, inaccurate, opinionated little vixen.” It’s not readily apparent whether he’s being facetious or not.)
UPDATE 2005-04-16: The sky is in fact not falling, according to Harry Jaffe.
