[...] I got a kick out of kennedye welcoming back his Pismo. I picked up a used Pismo from my old company, back when the .com layoffs resulted in a surplus of machines. It wasn’t my first Mac, but it was (and still is) my favorite. The sleek black design has a warm feel that isn’t matched by any Apple laptop since. I know I’m not the only one who considers that generation the pinnacle of laptop design. My Pismo served me well for several years until I found a titanium in the trash (seriously). Even then, the Pismo was still my main laptop (face it, a titanium isn’t really THAT much faster). A few months ago however, I went to turn it on and found a brick. Alas, the power connector finally had finally gave up the fight, and as of now I can’t get it to charge.
